Steve Johnson — President & owner
Steve Johnson brings more than 40 years of construction experience to his work as a CCPIA-certified commercial property inspector, applying federal-grade discipline, deep electrical trade expertise, and construction management rigor to every commercial inspection he conducts.
Beginning his career hands-on in the field, Steve developed an intuitive understanding of how commercial building systems are constructed, how they perform over time, and where hidden defects occur. He strengthened this foundation by earning his Journeyman Electrical License and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, followed by over 25 years dedicated to federal contracting and Department of Defense quality control.

chris Johnson — chief inspector
Chris Johnson is a building inspector from Olympia, Washington, with more than 20 years of professional experience spanning military law enforcement, special inspection, commercial construction management, quality control, and building inspection.
Chris began his professional career serving as United States Military Police from 2003 to 2009. His military service developed a strong foundation in observation, attention to detail, documentation, and precise report writing. Working as Military Police required Chris to accurately observe and document incidents, gather and communicate information clearly, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail—skills that would become valuable throughout his subsequent career in inspection and construction quality control.
In 2009, Chris transitioned into special inspection, where he worked through 2015. During this time, he developed extensive experience inspecting structural construction and verifying that work complied with applicable building codes, engineering requirements, approved plans, and project specifications.
Following his work in special inspection, Chris moved into commercial construction management, serving as both a Quality Control Specialist and Quality Control Manager. In these positions, he was responsible for overseeing construction quality, coordinating inspections, reviewing work for compliance with project requirements, documenting deficiencies, and helping ensure that construction was completed safely and in accordance with established standards.
Chris has earned numerous International Code Council (ICC) certifications in critical areas of structural construction and building inspection, including Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel, Structural Bolting, Structural Welding, IRC Building Inspection, and IRC Plumbing Inspection. He also has been certified as a Lateral Framing inspector with the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO).
In addition to his ICC and WABO credentials, Chris is a Certified Commercial Property Inspector through the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA).
Throughout his career, Chris has developed a unique combination of military law-enforcement discipline, field inspection experience, commercial construction management expertise, quality-control experience, and technical code knowledge. His background has given him a strong ability to identify details that others may overlook, document findings accurately, communicate requirements clearly, and evaluate construction and property conditions against established standards.
Today, Chris works as a building inspector and certified commercial property inspector, bringing more than two decades of professional experience to his work. His career reflects a consistent commitment to accuracy, accountability, safety, quality, professionalism, and attention to detail—principles that have remained central to his work from his time in the military through his career in construction, quality control, and building/property inspection.
